18Nov02 IWSF Tournament Council approves Jaret Llewellyn's CAN jump and overall records performed at McCormick's on September 29.

Jaret jumped 71.7 m (235 ft) and achieved an overall score of 2818.01 with a slalom score of 5@11.25 and a trick score of 10,730 points

One major item discussed was a new proposal for trick point adjustment. The proposal and reference materials are included below. This is now under study and on the agenda for the 2003 meeting.

06Oct02 Jaret Llewellyn CAN does it again reportedly jumping 71.5m (234 ft) at Sunset Lakes.

This is his second pending Jump World Record being set just one week after his jump at McCormick's on 29Sep. He also broke the overall record in both rounds.

29Sep02 AA and EAME Championships put new leaders in all three Women's event in the Elite Ranking List

Karen Truelove USA takes over the top spot in slalom after a season of hard work.
Elena Milakova RUS regains the #1 spot in tricks after winning that event at the EAME Championships.
Emma Sheers AUS uses her win of the AA Championships to power her way to the top in jumping.
The Men's leaders remain the same, Krueger USA in Jump, Parrish USA in slalom, and Leforestier FRA in tricks.
There is only one Ranking tournament left, the Pan American Championships in Chile at the end of November.

The date for the 2003 Water Ski Open World Championships to be held at the Swiss Ski School in Clermont, Florida has been changed. The 2003 Water Ski World Championships will now take place from September 15-21, 2003.

21Sep02 IWSF holds Extraodinary Congress and approves new statutes and by-laws.

The IWSF has approved a major restructuring of its organization in order to develop the sport more agressively and serve the needs of its members.
The new organization changes the structure of the Executive Bureau to include three newly created positions of Vice-President on a Regional basis. Also the new structure required new elections for the IWSF Officers.

Jeffry Armstrong USA re-elected as Secretary-General
Chris Howarth elected as Treasurer
Alain Amade FRA elected as Vice-President
Jim Grew USA elected as Vice-President
Max Kirwan AUS was also elected as Vice-President

The IWSF Executive Board is holding its annual meeting in Nice, France just before the Special IWSF Congress that has been called to vote on the IWSF Statute and By-Law changes. The congress is being held tody at Roquebrune at the same time the EAME (Europe-Africa-Middle East) Championships are being held.
