The IWSF Office was generiously given by Colombia Indeportes to the IWSF at no cost during the tenure of Andres' Presidency.

ROBERTSON REPEATS....1ST EVER TITLE FOR NEW ZEALAND:
Australian Steve Robertson successfully defended his World Title by finishing a strong 2nd in the final round of the World Championships. Junior skier Kristy Sloane of New Zealand became the first ever from her country to win a ski racing world title.
TEAM USA WINS:
The US World Team won the overall team title as these World Championships came to a close. Australia finished up in second with Great Britain a close 3rd.

TWO WORLD CHAMPIONS Ann Procter of Australia and Marshall Cole of the US secured World Titles in the Women's and Jr. Boy's divisions by winning their third consecutive race in their respective divisions. Jamie Graziano (Aus) and Chelsea Blight (Aus) each won race #3 of the Men's and Jr. Girls divisions.

RACE #2 RESULTS:
Steve Robertson, Ann Procter and Marshall Cole all took another step towards winning a world title by claiming top honors in their respective divisions for the 2nd race in a row. Kristy Sloane gave New Zealand it's first ever world championship win in the junior girls.

RACE #1 RESULTS:
Defending world Champion Steve Robertson of Australia took the first step towards defending his title by winning the men's first round of the 2001 World Championships in convincing fashion. 1997 Jr. World Champion Ann Procter, also of Australia, claimed top honors for the women while Marshall Cole of the US and Tara Williams of Australia were the round #1 winners the juniors.

04Sep01 Additional skiers qualify for the 2001 World Championships

Seven additional skiers have qualified for the World's based on a qualification mechanism approved by the IWSF Tournament Council as a substitute for the normal World Cup ranking qualification.(see 23Jul01 headline)
