28Aug13 IWWF World Wakeboard Council: Nuno Eca Elected Chairman

Nuno Eca from Portugal has been elected Chairman of the IWWF World Wakeboard Council.

Nuno, owner of and coach at Wake Villa Wakeboard School takes over from Neil Harris from Australia, who decided to step down as Chairman of the IWWF World Wakeboard Council, which he has helmed since 2006. Neil will now focus his attention to the IWWF Wakeboard World Cup Series, we thank Neil for all his dedicated work.

Nuno will take up the position with immediate effect which is for 2 years.

Nuno said "I am honoured to be elected Chairman of the IWWF World Wakeboard Council and will do my best for the riders and the sport, with the support of my fellow IWWF World Wakeboard Council members".

Nuno brings a great deal of experience to the position with over 17 years of wakeboard judging and coaching and he is also proficient in five languages – a valuable asset for a global sport ! He has been a member of the IWWF World Wakeboard Council since 2006

Colin Hart has been re-elected Secretary of the Council.
