The first stop of the inaugural China, USA, Australia Waterski Show Ski Challenge took place in the Chinese city Neijiang, organised by the People?s Government of Neijiang Municipality and Sichuan Province and the Chinese Waterski Association.

?It is one of the most exciting and best organised Waterski events which I?ve attended during my 50 years involvement in our sport?, said IWWF President Kuno Ritschard to the press.

Flags, huge banners and big red lampions on the main roads of the City promoted the Show Ski Challenge, grandstands with seating for 30?000 persons on both sides of the Waterski Arena, direct TV and over 100?000 spectators for the official Opening Ceremony and the Finals are only some of the highlights to mention.

The second stop will be held next weekend in Linyi, Shandong Province, which will also be the Host City for a Waterski and Wakeboard World Cup end September this year.
