Prime Minister of Malaysia Dato Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak reviews parade

Water Ski featured prominently in the official launch of the "Fly the Malaysian Flag" campaign by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato' Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak, on the 12th August at Putrajaya's Water Sports Complex. A 6-skiers ski-pass behind the Mastercraft boat was the lead event followed by an armada of other watercrafts.

Future Ski Show Team?

Nine young Malaysian waterski & wakeboard trainees featured in the show where we managed to get the 6-UP single ski skiing behind the Mastercraft Prostar PS190 successfully on many occasions of practices and rehearsals.

On the actual run for the launch by the Prime Minister we managed 5-UP successfully to entertain the massive full capacity crowd at the grandstand which included many of our Prime Minister's cabinet members including the Deputy Prime Minister.

Members of the Malaysian mass media made their full turn out to cover the event.

The full complement of the Malaysian Water Ski Federation's team comprised the following: Aaliyah Yoong Hanifah, 5; Anakin Ali, 7; Hadi Irfan Rahaizah, 8; Hanis Azemi, 10; Syakirah Nasir, 12; Shamal Norman, 13; Syahir Nasir, 10; Ariff Alaudin, 13; and Nadiah Nasir, 13.

The skiers were dressed in the attire of the Malay, Chinese, Indian and International cultures to represent the 1Malaysia theme which the PM of Malaysia has adopted.

The officials involved with the training towards this successful show included Phillipa Yoong, Armand Ali, Danny Choo, Rody Buang, Emirul Shahimy, Rahaizah Mat Saman, Azemi Jusuh and Hanifah Yoong.

Looks like there is a distinct possibility that the seeds of a future "Ski Show" team has been sowed.
