10Sep08 New Zealand wins AA Team trophy at the 2008 Asian Australasian Championships in Chuncheon, Korea.

It has only taken 45 years and 23 Regional Championships for New Zealand to finally have their name engraved on the John Kumm Regional Perpetual Shield after winning the Tournament Team trophy at the 2008 Asian Australasian Championships in Chuncheon, Korea.

The event combining the three disciplines of Barefoot, Wakeboard & Tournament as well as the Asian Championships proved a huge success. The Riders in particular can?t wait to get back on the calm waters of Lake Uiam, Chuncheon, for next year?s 2009 World Wakeboard Championships. Competition will be even fiercer to return again in 2010 for the World Cup stop featuring wakeboard and jump, a major event in the 2010 Chuncheon World Leisure Congress & Leisure Games.
