Miami, FL, January 30, 2008 ? The early registration deadline for riders to compete in the IWSF Pan Am Region Wakeboard Championships and Board Up? Miami from April 10-13 is rapidly approaching. On March 15, 2008, early registration ($150.00) closes?register on-line by visiting the event website at www.boardup.net. It?s an opportunity to compete against the world?s best, and win up to $10,000 in prize money while participating in South Florida?s premiere wakeboarding festival. The event will take place at 3601 Rickenbacker Causeway in the Marine Stadium Basin.
In its third year, Board Up? will be preceded by the IWSF Pan Am Region wakeboard championships. The winner of each of the amateur age-group divisions, along with the top 10 pro riders will qualify for the main event, Board Up? on Saturday and Sunday April 12 and 13 from 12-5pm and a chance to win up to $10,000.
150 riders are expected to compete in 5 different divisions, and that?s just the beginning. This year?s event will also feature an Extreme Sports Expo (where retailers and sponsors can sell and showcase product to their target consumer), swimsuit fashion shows, skate demos, motorcycle stunt shows, great food with a Latin flair, cool DJs spinning tracks, as well as live music to kickoff and close the pro-am competition.
