ROLEX JUNIOR MASTERS WATER SKI TOURNAMENT

INVITATION-ONLY—CRITERIA AND INVITEES ANNOUNCED
ORLANDO,
FL FEB. 13, 2004 – The
Masters Steering Committee has released the invitation criteria for the Rolex
Junior Masters to be held at Callaway in Pine Mountain,
Georgia, over Memorial
Day weekend, May 28-30, 2004.
The Masters
Committee meets annually at the conclusion of the Masters –the
worlds oldest, most prestigious, water ski and wakeboard tournament– to discuss
the invitation criteria for the next year's event and to ensure that the
world's best junior athletes are invited to the 2004 Rolex Junior Masters—an
invitation-only, international tournament.
The Junior Masters Water Ski Tournament
began 12 years ago and the Junior Men Wakeboarding competition was added as an
event in 1996. These events are a part
of the overall Chevrolet 45th Masters taking place in May. A large number of invitees are determined by
the final 2003 IWSF Junior World Water Ski Ranking
List which is not final until March 1st. Therefore, the list of Junior Masters invited
athletes is not complete. Following is a
list showing only those meeting criteria other than Nos. 3 and 6 below.

Performance
in an IWSF sanctioned record-capability tournament between November 1, 2003 and
May 24, 2004 which is equal to or exceeds the performance level of the 5th
Ranked skier on the final 2003 IWSF Junior World Water Ski Ranking Lists,**published as of
March 1, 2004.

To qualify, an athlete must also be 17 years of age or
younger as of January 1,
2004.
