The first ever
in the history of water skiing that an international waters ski championships
will host Tournament, Wakeboard and Barefoot events. The Mulwala Water Ski
Club, one of the world’s most successful water ski clubs bordering the eastern
states of Victoria and New South Wales will play host to over nine Asian
Australasian Federations and over 150 skiers and officials.
This region known as Sun Country on the Murray
is famous for its wonderful climate and diversity of attractions for the
visitors Bordered by the Murray River to the north and the Ovens and Goulburn
rivers to the east and west the area is an inland water playground with Lake
Mulwala the jewel in the crown .

Rules - General
The competition will be carried out according to the IWSF
Technical Rules for Tournament, Wakeboard & Barefoot.

7. Rules –
Tournament
The categories for
Tournament will be Open Men & Open Women.
a) Team Selection
Each team
shall consist of a maximum of 6 skiers, with the further limitation that no
team may have more than 4 men or 4 women.
Each federation shall further have the right to nominate two
reserve skiers to its team, to replace any injured skier, provided the maximum
number of 4 men or 4 women is not exceeded

Rule 4
CATEGORIES AT THE AA WAKEBOARD
CHAMPIONSHIPS
a)There
will be two categories at the AA Wakeboard Championships:
Men’s Open & Women’s Open
b) There will be a minimum of 3 riders required to
open a category. The Chief Judge will inform all participating Federations as
soon as feasibly possible if there are insufficient riders within a category.
Rule 9 ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR
AA WAKEBOARD CHAMPIONSHIPS
a) Rider Eligibility: A Federation
may select its team in any manner it desires; however, each team member must be
a citizen or have resided in the respective country for 3 years. In case of
doubt as to the nationality of a competitor, the Chief Judge normally will
refer to his passport. Each Federation shall certify that all members of its
team meet these qualifications. It will be the responsibility of the Chief
Judge and Chief Calculator to verify the passport of each rider.
b)
Competition Entry: A rider must compete in the AA
Wakeboard Championships as a team representative.
c) Team Entry: A team will comprise of a maximum of 6 riders, with a maximum of
3 riders in the same category.
Rule 11 TEAM SCORING
a)The best 4 scores
will be used to compute an overall team score, and not more than 2 scores from
each category.

Rules – Barefoot
a)
Categories are Mens and Womens
b)
2 round tournament. All skiers going through to the finals. It will be Slalom,
Trick, Jump and Overall.
c)
Jump will be open to those qualified to jump under World Rules.
10. Homologation
This
competition will be RC homologated.

13. Entry
Conditions
All Skiers,
who are member of an affiliated federation of the IWSF, are entitled to
participate. Skiers must be nominated by their federation. Federations are
requested to send their intention to enter as soon as possible, but before 28th of September
2006. Countries that have sent there Intention to Enter will be listed on
the website.

Visa
If the
necessary personal information is provided, the Organizing Committee will issue
official visa invitations to all participants, officials, delegates and guests.
They may apply for visas with the invitation at the Australian Embassy in their

15. Non-team
skiers
Skiers not
selected for their national team may qualify to compete in the Tournament,
Wakeboard & Barefoot Championships as individuals in their event if they
meet one or more of the following criteria:
a)
World Tournament, Wakeboard & Barefoot Record Holder.
The skier must have performed the record at least 45 days before the first day
of the familiarization of the World Championships and have his performance
ratified by the IWSF Tournament, Wakeboard & Barefoot Council at least 15
days before the first day of familiarization of the World Championships.
b)
Reigning World Tournament, Wakeboard & Barefoot Champion
in that event (slalom, tricks or/and jump) in which they defend their title.
c)
Ranked in the IWSF World Tournament, Wakeboard &
Barefoot Ranking List in the top 10% men or women in any event excluding
overall. The numbers will be rounded to the nearest full digit.
The Ranking List shall be the most recently published list.
All skiers
qualified as individuals must be entered by their federation.
16. Entry fee
The entry fee
will be AU$175.00 per skier. This will include two official familiarization
sets, lunch on competition days and the banquet on Sunday evening. The entry
fee has to be paid in cash at accreditation before official training! The
currency is Australian Dollars.

Opening Dinner and Banquet Final Night Party:
The
price for non competitors to the opening ceremony will be $25 and the closing
banquet will be A$70.00, - including soft drinks.
A
final night party starts after the banquet.
21.
Liability
The
organizing club, federation or the committee of the Asian Australasian Water
Ski, Wakeboard & Barefoot Championships 2006, does not undertake any
liability for damage to persons, material or property against competitors,
technical officer, judges, official helpers and other persons. All competitors
take part on their own risk in every respect even if they are engaged out of
the competition, e.g. in any additional program. With the entry of the
competition they give up any claim from cases of loss of any kind arising
indirectly or directly during this event. Actives ought to have affected a
private accident insurance beside their health insurance. Damage to a third
party (e.g. spectators) is insured only within the limits of the organizer’s
liability.
